Mama's Casa childbirth preparation is led by Alissa Catalan. Alissa is a mama, DONA trained doula, Pink Kit Presenter and certifying Birthing From Within Mentor. She also serves as the Chair of Operations of NorthEastern Illinois Doula Association (NEIDA), Secretary of the Rebozo Way Project and Advisory Board Member of BirthLink.

The doula and midwife who attended the birth of our first child treated us with respect and dignity. They comforted, supported and watched over us, helping to make the birth an empowering and absolutely incredible experience. That experience inspired me to become a doula and begin birth work to do the same for others.
